Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at these Wheel Masters Support Brackets. These are going to allow you to use aftermarket tire inflation hoses or valve extenders on your 16 inch wheels with the rubber valve stems. These are going to fit around the valve stems and then clip to the wheels to provide support for each valve stem, so it doesn't bend or twist as the wheel rotates. You are going to get four of these brackets, and they are made here in the USA, so you can trust they are gonna be good quality for you and to allow you to use those tire inflation hoses or valve extends on your 16 inch wheels with the standard rubber valve stems. That completes our look for today.
Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

This bracket lets you use a tire inflation hose or a valve extender on your 16" wheel with a rubber valve stem. It supports the valve stem to keep it from bending and twisting as your wheel rotates.I had hoped that these would solve my problem in supporting the rubber valve stem on my Winnebago motor home with 16" wheels. Not even close.
First they do not fit - See pic. Nothing like the picture on the product page. Perhaps my stems are "too" long (2-1/8") but they are what I have.
Second - the rubber grommet is about 1/4" thick and the threads on the stem are 3/8" long so, if I managed to get them on the stem there would only be about 1/8" of threads left for the valve extension - whose female threaded end is about 3/8" deep. See pic.
The last picture shows the valve extension screwed onto the stem. As can be seen - its threads are so deep there is no way it could get tight enough to contact the valve core in the stem with that grommet in place.
These must require very special rubber valve stems that are very short and have very long threaded ends.
Very disappointing.
tore the valve stem off my dolly wheel and destroyed the tire. the design needs to provide better clamping to wheel.

Thanks for your product review on the Wheelmaster Support Brackets for Rubber Valve Stems, I emailed your review and pictures to our representative at Wheel Masters and she explained to me that the valve stems that you have are a longer design intended to accomodate wheel covers without needing extenders. The Wheel Master rubber valve stem support brackets are meant to be used on standard size both diameter and length valve stems. Typically standard valve stems are too short and need a solid extender, that would need additional support like these brackets from Wheel Master. If you would like to use these support brackets you would need to change out to a standard valve stem, either rubber or stainless steel and then you could use the brackets as well as an additional extender as necessary.
